Generating over 155,000 'Home Delivery Miles!'

As a responsible business, RCS Logistics's impact on the environment is key to the day-to-day operation of the company.

With interest in Photo Voltaic Solar increasing significantly, a plan was quickly developed in partnership with LarkEnergy into the feasibility of electricity production.

As such 2011 saw Warehouse 1, part of the Northamptonshire Distribution Depot Complex, installed with solar panels. Still in early stages of analysis, the installation has triggered a number of trials alongside consumption of our own electricity.

Trials

Since installation, RCS Logistics have performed a number of trials including charging of electric delivery vans in and around the local area. Early results look promising and we are working in partnership with a number of companies to take full advantage of the installation.

As more developments arise, we shall keep this section updated.
